April 6, 2015 – The smallest Native American nation in America is located within the depths of Grand Canyon, hidden away from the national park’s millions of annual visitors. About 600 members of the Havasupai tribe live in the village of Supai, which boasts two churches, a café, general stores, a lodge, and a school. Mail comes to the local post office via mule train, which makes the 16-mile round trip daily.
